I was curious to try MSP, based on a friend’s recommendation. All of the parts of it were new to me, but I picked it all up easily. I was pleased to discover that right away I slept soundly, had reduced stress, better alignment, relief of shoulder pain, and I was smoking less. I feel more in balance overall now, and I appreciate having a program I can use to maintain myself and my outlook. Self-maintenance becomes seriously important at mid-life, and I like having my little toolkit of skills to keep my energy and attitude high and my mind fresh.

When I discovered MSP, I was in terrible shape after a life-threatening accident. I was in awful pain and ready to give up on life. I’m a steelworker, and while at work a steel beam broke loose and smashed me into a concrete wall. The result was multiple surgeries to reconstruct my face, head, and neck with plates and screws. The pain, spasms, headaches, and immobility were intense and constant. I couldn’t sleep, heavy depression set in, and I just toughed it out, not wanting to take painkillers.

When I showed up for the first day of MSP Foundation training, I had to drag myself through my agony, and my pain was well over eleven on a ten scale. By the end of the first lesson, I felt relief. That night I slept better than I had in four years, and by the next morning my pain level was below a five. As I learned techniques to relieve my pain, my mobility improved greatly, my color returned, the headaches are mostly gone, and best of all, I feel confident enough now to celebrate healing. I have hope again, and know I can live a life that isn't denominated by pain and depression. MSP put me back in charge, I never miss my daily practice, and I have promised to share the gift of the basic meditation techniques with all my friends. It’s absolutely amazing, and I am more grateful than I can say.

As a busy dentist, I had developed alignment imbalances and structural discomfort from my chair-side working habits. I managed the stress of my practice with hard workouts and being a competitive triathlete. After working with MSP, my structure is balanced, I now know how to adapt my moving and working patterns to support me, and calm inner peace are my steady companions. Happily, my triathlon times have improved and my recovery is faster as well. MSP is now a vital part of my daily life.

Like most athletes, I’m always looking for a competitive edge and faster recovery. MSP taught me skills to be freer and more efficient in my movements, so naturally my times improved, my use of my breath is more effective, and my mindset is calmer all the way through. It’s good to have skills that I can use to stay centered and to reduce the potential for repetitive strain injuries as well. I’m grateful for how restorative MSP is.

Overwhelmed by my work and personal situations, I had been diagnosed with PTSD and was in a desperate state of mind. A friend recommended MSP, and I committed to working with the material intensively. I learned skills for management of anxiety, my corporate work stress, and PTSD. After the second day of class, I slept 24 hours straight. Additionally, now I know how to comfortably use my alignment relative to my workstation environment, sitting/standing at desk, meetings, and managing my response to pressure in the high stress work environment. The best part is I have the know-how to regulate myself internally and stay balanced in response to external factors. The relief I feel now is priceless.

After spending about ten years being the poster boy for the "Crazy Vietnam Vet" stereotype, I began to put my life in some kind of order. Part of that was finding the ways and means of dealing with PTSD issues.  The entire process took me years of separating the wheat from the proverbial chaff, trying to find processes that would do some actual good in taming the demons of recall. The things I did and the things that I didn't do continued to spin and interfere in my need for a reasonable life.  Of course I went to counseling but likely too late to deal with the brain's crystallization of behavior patterns.

I discovered some yoga, body awareness programs and meditation but didn't put them into a cohesive whole. Susana has created an integrated program I can do on my own for dealing with the kinds of issues that plagued me for much of my adult life.  I wish I 'd had access to such fifty years ago.  I am sure that I would have had a great deal easier time in this life if I had, but that being said, even having access to it now is a blessing as it would be for anyone dealing with the types of issues veterans deal with daily. It has been said that a smart person learns from his mistakes but a wise person learns from the mistakes of others.  I'd offer that anyone dealing with the PTSD devil could learn from my mistakes and jump into this program, the earlier the better.  Welcome home, brother/sister Veteran.  Be at peace with yourself.

I spent 22 years on active duty in infantry, special ops, and intelligence assignments. I deployed to every major combat operation the US Army engaged in. Although we received plenty of training on how to handle and deal with stress and take care of our troops, we oftentimes forget to take care of ourselves. Luckily, I found MSP.

MSP taught me techniques that are basic and allowed me to manage my stress and, importantly, to manage my insomnia. For many years, I was only able to sleep 3 to 4 hours a night. With MSP training, I now sleep 6 to 7 hours each night, my stress level is low, and my overall wellness has improved tremendously. I encourage everyone to take MSP training to learn how to bring balance back into life.

I’ve always been a tightly wound, anxious type. My 13 month deployment in a combat zone left me with extremely irregular sleep and always jumpy. From my very first exposure to the first Foundation module, I slept comfortably through the night and have continued to do so. Experiencing the waves of my body’s own healing energy was novel and impressive to me. My anxiety levels have smoothed out, and I feel much less reactive and much more even. Now I carry two trauma kits with me,  but the one that weighs nothing at all is the one I use daily and has a virtual MSP badge on it.

By the end of a contentious divorce from an emotionally abusive spouse, I was out of balance and shut down. I took the Foundation Workshop in a 3 day format, and I had experiences and learned skills that immediately began restoring me. Right away my sleep was undisturbed, I wasn’t so jittery, and I felt my body and energy come alive again. When I learned I had breast cancer a month after taking the workshop, I used the techniques to manage my anxiety and discomfort from the procedures and maintain my inner calm, my mindset, and my recovery. My friends and family see the transformation in me and are signing up for classes as well. I thought this would be a great system before I learned it, but now I know it is brilliant!

When I came to my Foundation 3-day, I was seriously stressed and my back was giving me fits. All the top main life stressors were hitting me at once: both parents had passed within the current year; left my job (due to harassment); cross-country move to change residence; new relationship; poor sleep; grief and loss; anxious; back pain. By the third day of class, I felt lighter in spirit, and my back pain and mind felt so much relief. Now I have skills for keeping myself more even and a mindset that allows me to process my experiences.
